Bridal Sizing Information
It’s good to go into the shopping experience with a little bit of information on how bridal sizing works compared to what we are used to! We do our best to carry two sample sizes in many of our gowns and hope to only expand on this as we grow. Our samples range from sizes 6-26 depending on the designer and style. All of our gowns can be ordered sizes 0-30 with the exception of a few styles. During your appointment we will put you in the sample size closest to you and do our best to clip the dress for the best visualization of how it will look once ordered in your proper size. As you have likely heard, bridal sizing does run small compared to most streetwear brands, HOWEVER, bridal is actually more consistent and accurate. The bridal industry does not do this to be less inclusive but maintains more aligned with traditional European sizing charts. The reason bridal seems so much smaller is because a lot of brands adjusted their sizing charts in 90s/2000s to fit larger to try and make women feel better, thus being more inclined to buy. An unfortunate marketing tactic that messed with sizing charts. Though, they do still range amongst designers, the dresses will fit approximately 1-2 sizes smaller than what you might expected. If you are generally around size 14, you will likely fit best in a 16/18 (though most women don’t fall perfectly onto a sizing chart! That’s where alterations come in!).
